Volcanic landscapes, quiet villages and coastline made for slow exploring  The Canary Islands combine dramatic terrain with warm weather all year round. On Lanzarote you can walk through the volcanic scenery of Timanfaya National Park and see the white architecture designed by César Manrique, including Jameos del Agua and several classic windmills around the island. Coastal spots like Caleta de Famara and natural swimming points carved into the rock give easy access to the water.  In the centre of the island you can visit Teguise, where traditional buildings and local crafts are part of daily life. Further south beaches such as Playa de Papagayo offer clear water and sheltered coves. Across the islands fruit stalls and small markets sell local produce that comes straight from the subtropical climate.  #CanaryIslands #Lanzarote #Timanfaya #Teguise #PapagayoBeach #JameosDelAgua #VisitSpain #VolcanicIslands #IslandGetaway

Modern landmarks, local flavours and relaxed city corners  Valencia brings together futuristic design, historical streets and one of Spain’s most famous food markets. The City of Arts and Sciences is one of the city’s best-known sights with buildings like L’Hemisfèric and El Palau de les Arts set around large pools of water. In the old centre you can walk through Torres de Serranos and explore neighbourhood squares such as Plaça del Carme.  For food lovers the Mercado Central offers fresh produce, pastries and local snacks all under one roof. At the same time terraces across the old town serve horchata and cold drinks throughout the day. You can find quiet residential streets near El Carmen with small orange trees and classic Valencian façades. Families often spend time at L’Oceanogràfic which is located within the wider arts-and-sciences complex.  #Valencia #VisitSpain #CityOfArtsAndSciences #MercadoCentral #Oceanografic #ElCarmen #SerranosTowers #SpainTravel

Coastal viewpoints, city icons and strong food traditions  The Basque Country combines modern architecture with green landscapes and a well-known food culture. In Bilbao, the Guggenheim Museum stands right along the river with its characteristic metal exterior. Local food traditions are easy to spot at markets such as Plaza Nueva where tortillas and pintxos are prepared on the spot.  For views over the coastline you can follow the paths around Zumaia Flysch or visit beaches and cliffs near Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. The historic Funicular de Artxanda gives a direct ride up the hillside for a wide view over Bilbao. Inland you’ll find wineries such as Bodegas Ysios near Laguardia where vineyards sit directly below the Cantabrian Mountains. Cities like San Sebastián offer cafés, small bars and steady pintxo routes throughout the old town.  #BasqueCountry #VisitSpain #Bilbao #Guggenheim #SanSebastián #Zumaia #Urdaibai #BodegasYsios #Pintxos #SpainTravel

Parks, markets, classic façades and modern spots  Madrid brings together calm city walks and lively neighbourhoods. At Palacio de Cristal in Parque del Retiro you can stroll through the glass pavilion and then row across the lake by the Monumento a Alfonso XII. Across the city you’ll find colourful street art in Lavapiés and cosy boutique-style stops like Salon des Fleurs.  Traditional venues such as Viva Madrid show the city’s classic bar culture and food markets like Mercado de San Miguel display a wide range of tapas and pastries. Neighbourhoods such as La Latina and Malasaña are full of narrow streets and characteristic buildings. For modern architecture, the Arganzuela Footbridge and the vertical garden next to CaixaForum Madrid stand out. To end the day, the Templo de Debod remains one of the best spots for sunset.  #Madrid #VisitSpain #RetiroPark #TemploDeDebod #MercadoDeSanMiguel #LaLatina #Malasaña #StreetArtMadrid #SpainTravel #CityBreaks

Colourful towns, historic sites and southern Spanish flavours  In Andalusia you can walk through narrow streets like those in Córdoba’s old town where bright walls, tiled corners and flowerpots fill the neighbourhoods. Small local restaurants such as Sallago create the typical outdoor dining atmosphere found in many Andalusian towns. Natural spots like the Rio Chillar gorge near Nerja offer clear water pools between steep rock walls and the coastal views around Cádiz show white rooftops and the sea stretching into the distance.  The region has well-known landmarks including the Alhambra in Granada and the Mezquita-Cathedral of Córdoba with its arches and patterned interiors. Dishes like paella and jamón ibérico are common across the area and street performances such as flamenco dancing bring a lively element to city squares. Further east the landscapes change into dry hills similar to those in the Tabernas Desert.  #Andalusia #VisitSpain #SouthernSpain #Córdoba #Granada #Cadiz #SpanishFood #Flamenco #SpainTravel #DiscoverSpain

A city where beaches, markets and architecture sit side by side  Barceloneta Beach is the starting point for many visitors with paddleboards lined up along the sand and the W Hotel marking the coastline. From there you can head up to Tibidabo where the colourful Ferris wheel overlooks the entire city. The Arc de Triomf and the excavated ruins inside El Born Cultural Centre show a mix of historic landmarks in the middle of modern neighbourhoods.  Park Güell appears in the lower left with its tiled benches and views over the city and La Rambla offers a long shaded walkway filled with small stalls and cafés. Casa Batlló is easily recognised by its curved balconies and mosaic façade and the Sagrada Família stands out with its towers that continue to rise above the city.  #Barcelona #VisitSpain #Catalonia #CityTravel #BarcelonaStreets #GaudiArchitecture #TravelEurope #UrbanExploring #DiscoverBarcelona
